HIP-HOP JUNKIES is a new hip-hop radio show that launches Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in Charlotte, North Carolina and the surrounding areas on WGIV (The Soul of Charlotte) – 103.3 FM.

The show will broadcast four days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12 AM – 2 AM, Fridays from 8 PM – 9 PM as well as from 12 AM – 2 AM and Saturdays from 12 AM – 2 AM) and will focus on the world of urban entertainment in particular hip-hop, it’s complete make-up / life-style, music, generation, fashion and culture. Hence the name, HIP-HOP JUNKIES will over-dose it’s listeners with an abundance of hip-hop, from Old School to New School as well as Unsigned Underground rap.

HIP-HOP JUNKIES will deliver the most revealing interviews, up-to-the minute news, personal profiles, live broadcasts from local clubs and the most comprehensive coverage of the hottest form of music today, Hip-Hop. The show will also profile the dominant forces and celebrated names in sports, television, film, fashion, politics, business & technology, whose intriguing personalities continue to impact urban and pop culture. HIP-HOP JUNKIES will feature “BLAZING HIP-HOP” hosted by one of Newark, New Jersey’s hottest, very own, home grown DJ HOLLYWOOD, “DO IT ALL RADIO,” and “GOSSIP GIRL” segments.

Each segment will bring you something different, everything from up close and personal interviews, new album releases and entertainment news; to lifestyle segments with such industry and business icons as Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Drake, super- producers Dr. Dre and Timbaland, Chris Brown, Wale, ASAP Rocky, J. Cole, and many, many others.

Despite being in the 24th market, HIP-HOP JUNKIES will be one of the pre-eminent vehicles for hip-hop, urban culture and entertainment. Just like New York’s number one station Hot 97.1 FM; it will target a young adult audience with a strong multi-cultural appeal. Through its downloadable app, HIP-HOP JUNKIES has the ability to reach 90% of African-Americans and 73% of general market across the country.
