Beasy Baybie

Rapper, Producer, and On-Air Personality, “Beasy”, has taken the nation by storm since she began rapping in Reading, Pennsylvania at the age of eighteen. Her career began with a song writing contest held at City Park in Reading, Pennsylvania with twenty other competitors before a crowd of five hundred, where she took home the grand prize. From there, she became a regular club performer, winning every “rap battle” competition she entered, quickly becoming a local celebrity. She performed in over seventy-five club events within the Philadelphia region from 1998-2002 under the artist name, Charlotte O’Neal. She opened for such acts as 50 Cent, Capone & Norega, Jadakiss, Major Figa’s, Beanie Siegel, State Property, and Buck Shot. Because of this, she was also a guest on every major radio station in Reading, Pennsylvania. She also was a regular on the dvd series “Blow It Up TV”, as well as playing a part on a TV Show alongside Dougie Fresh in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.  In 2004, she became the road manager for record winning artist Streatz, most famous for his remix of the song, “Grinding” with The Clipse. In addition to these accomplishments Beasy was the “it-girl” for parties and special events; hosting and party promoting outside of bartending, which became one of her specialties. She remained part of Reading Pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas, premier nightlife until 2011 when she moved to Charlotte, NC.

Currently, she is the producer and co-host of the BJ Murphy Morning Show which airs on Charlotte’s oldest African American radio station, WGIV 103.3 FM / 1370 AM. In her time with the station, since September 2012,  she has managed to secure top celebrity interviews  at WGIV, such as Michelle Williams (of Destiny’s Child), Elle Varner, Vivica Fox, Raekwon (member of Wu-Tang Clan), Mc Lite, DJ D-Nice (President Obama’s official DJ), Deborah Cox, Lala Anthony, Micheal Eric Dyson, Freeway Ricky Ross, Lalah Hathaway, RL (previously from the R&B group NEXT), Comedian Eddie Griffin, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Yolanda Adams, and former BadBoy recording artist Shyne. Shyne, known for his incarceration after the infamous Puff Daddy/J-Lo shooting incident, granted no other interviews upon his release until Beasy approached him. Her persistence paid off. That coveted post-incarceration interview, on The BJ Murphy Morning Show, has since had over 200,000 hits on the World Star Hip Hop site alone.

Beasy is also the host and producer of her own show also on WGIV titled “Hip Hop Hysteria”. This show airs each Saturday night at 8 o’clock pm. A perfect blend of hip hop, celebrity interviews, and guest dj’s from various regions within the United States.

In addition to these accomplishments Beasy also does voice over work, commercial production, as well as marketing, and promotion within WGIV. She prides herself in ensuring no leaf is left unturned and no client walks away unhappy. With her bubbly personality and flair for life, the sky isn’t even the limit for this up-coming star.

Despite all of her accomplishments, Beasy credits being a mother and wife as her greatest achievement. When not spending time with her husband and four children, she enjoys writing poetry, short stories, hosting events, and performing as a spoken word artist. Beasy is also a public speaker and spends time mentoring youth and makes it a point to use her GOD given talent to help light the way for those hindered by the darkness of their current circumstances.
